Paradise Valley Springs (Rotorua)

The Paradise Valley Springs is somewhat like a zoo. You can see a few animals, fishes & birds. It’s like a big bush walk & you keep moving through this valley. There is a stream, which flows through the Paradise Valley. You can hand feed wild trout in our streams & many more in our fresh water trout pools. You can also see the giant native eels. The underwater trout- viewing cave looks fabulous. You can see the Rainbow & Brown Trout and the Brook & Tiger Trout in this stream.
The Freshwater Spring Drink, Te Waireka Spring (Sweet Water)- According to the ancient Maori people, this water is believed to have special healing qualities & was good for their health. The special attraction of this place is the feeding of the lions. It is done daily at 2.30pm. Every lion or cub has a name. When the feeder calls out their name, that cub or lion gets up & gets her share. Of course, there are some tough fights when the senior lion approaches, but all get a share sooner or later & nobody goes hungry. They also have the Paradise Valley Spring Water Drinking Plant. You can purchase some bottles of pure, fresh export quality spring water. This water has been tested scientifically, & is very pure, safe & good for your health.
